TerraCycle launches $75m funding round to acquire recycling businesses. TerraCycle, the US-based recycling company specialising in hard-to-recycle waste streams, has launched a $75 million funding round aimed primarily at acquisitions. Up to 75 per cent of the proceeds would go towards buying recycling businesses, with the remainder funding infrastructure and staffing.

The Regulation A raise follows a $5 million crowdfunding round completed in late 2025 and a previous $19 million Regulation A round in 2018 that attracted around 6,300 investors. TerraCycle has already made three acquisitions in recent years, including Air Cycle in Chicago and Complete Recycling Solutions in Massachusetts.

The company's revenue grew from $24.7 million in 2020 to $43.1 million in 2024. Chief executive Tom Szaky told Waste Dive the company is also exploring a potential initial public offering.
