Following the transaction, Agilyx's shareholding will rise from 46 per cent to 50.1 per cent, while fellow shareholder Lafor will hold 49.9 per cent. Agilyx chief executive Ranjeet Bhatia will chair GreenDot, with the group expected to generate around EUR 375 million in revenue and more than EUR 22 million in EBITDA in 2026.

GreenDot operates across mechanical and chemical recycling, extended producer responsibility licensing, and consultancy services, with activities in Germany, Austria, Italy and France. The group traces its origins to Der Grüne Punkt, which launched the world's first nationwide EPR scheme for household packaging in Germany more than 35 years ago.

The two companies will explore the technical feasibility of producing battery cells using recycled cathode and anode active materials for integration into the Structural Battery Company's Drone Spine technology, a structural battery backbone that embeds energy storage within the airframe. According to the companies, the approach can deliver up to 50 per cent weight savings compared with a conventional airframe and battery combination.

Altilium, which secured £18.5 million in UK Government grant funding this month for its ACT3 battery recycling facility in Plymouth, has already produced automotive-grade pouch cells using cathode active materials recovered from end-of-life EV batteries. The Structural Battery Company, founded by John Moffat and based at Cranfield University, is targeting applications in defence, aerospace, space and robotics.

The toolkit uses a three-step process in which participants select a card describing an ecological phenomenon, such as how ecosystems maintain balance or adapt to change, and relate it to a business challenge. Pilot workshops with participants from retail, consulting, manufacturing and the public sector found the approach helped teams reframe how materials, products and processes could be reused rather than discarded. King’s College London says the project has been selected for its SPARK Innovation Fund, which will fund international expansion and a Mandarin translation ahead of a presentation at Shanghai Fashion Week’s Circular Transformation Summit.

The Regulation A raise follows a $5 million crowdfunding round completed in late 2025 and a previous $19 million Regulation A round in 2018 that attracted around 6,300 investors. TerraCycle has already made three acquisitions in recent years, including Air Cycle in Chicago and Complete Recycling Solutions in Massachusetts.

The company's revenue grew from $24.7 million in 2020 to $43.1 million in 2024. Chief executive Tom Szaky told Waste Dive the company is also exploring a potential initial public offering.

Horler previously served as managing director of E.ON UK's retail arm from 2001 to 2007 and led Scottish Power from 2008 to 2010. His appointment comes as CIRQLR, backed by infrastructure fund iCON Infrastructure, continues to expand its geographic reach and service offerings across the commercial and industrial waste sector.

The group now operates 19 recycling facilities with over 600 staff, serving 16,000 commercial and industrial customers.

The 10-acre site would use plasma-assisted gasification to convert household and commercial waste into 7,600 tonnes of fuel cell grade hydrogen and 110,000 tonnes of liquid CO2 annually, according to HTE. The company says the project would create up to 397 jobs during construction and 96 permanent roles once operational, with a further 165 through the wider supply chain.
