Altilium and The Structural Battery Company have announced a collaboration to develop a UK-based battery supply chain for heavy-lift drones, integrating cathode and anode materials recovered from end-of-life EV batteries into a structural battery system embedded in the drone airframe.

Hydrogen Transition Energy has submitted a planning application to Kent County Council for what it says would be the UK's first waste-to-hydrogen facility. The proposed £120 million plant at Manston would process 44,000 tonnes of non-recyclable waste per year using plasma gasification.
